These Terms of Purchase (“Terms”) govern your purchase of outdoor gear, apparel, and other products (collectively, “Products”) from Cotopaxz (“we,” “us,” or “our”) through our website (www.cotopaxz.com). By placing an order with us, you agree to be bound by these Terms, as well as our Privacy Policy and any other applicable policies referenced herein. Please read these Terms carefully before making a purchase.
1. Order Placement and Acceptance
1.1 How to Place an Order
To place an order, select the Products you wish to purchase, add them to your shopping cart, and follow the checkout process. You will be required to provide accurate and complete information, including:
- Shipping address (for delivery of Products);
- Billing information (for payment processing);
- Contact details (email address and phone number, to communicate order updates).
By submitting an order, you confirm that all information provided is true, accurate, and up-to-date.
1.2 Order Acceptance
Your submission of an order constitutes an offer to purchase Products from us. We reserve the right to accept or reject your order in our sole discretion (e.g., if Products are out of stock, if pricing or product details contain errors, or if we suspect fraudulent activity). - Delivery: After dispatch, standard delivery takes 6–12 business days to reach most destinations worldwide. Delivery times are estimates and may vary based on factors beyond our control (e.g., customs delays, regional shipping restrictions, weather conditions).
You will receive a shipping confirmation email with a tracking number once your order is dispatched. You can use this tracking number to monitor the status of your delivery via the carrier’s website.
3.2 Shipping Costs
Cotopaxz offers free standard shipping on all orders worldwide. No minimum order value is required to qualify for free shipping. We do not currently offer expedited or premium shipping options—only standard delivery (6–12 business days) is available.
3.3 Delivery Responsibilities
We will deliver Products to the shipping address you provided at checkout. Please ensure the shipping address is accurate and complete (including apartment numbers, street names, and postal codes) to avoid delivery delays or failures. We are not responsible for:
- Delays or non-delivery caused by incorrect or incomplete shipping information;
- Loss or damage to Products after delivery (once the carrier confirms delivery to the provided address);
- Customs delays or fees (see Section 3.4 for customs information).
3.4 International Customs and Duties
For international orders, Products may be subject to customs duties, taxes, or fees imposed by the destination country. These charges are the responsibility of the customer (not Cotopaxz) and are determined by the destination country’s customs authorities. We do not collect these fees at checkout, and we cannot predict their amount.
If you refuse to pay customs fees and the Products are returned to us, you will be responsible for any return shipping costs, and your refund will be reduced by these costs (see Section 4 for return terms).
4. Returns and Exchanges
4.1 Return Eligibility
You may return any unused, unworn, or undamaged Product(s) for a refund (excluding any non-refundable fees, if applicable) within 60 days of the delivery date. To be eligible for a return:
- Products must be in their original condition, with all tags, packaging, and accessories intact;
- Products must not have been used, washed, or altered (e.g., no cuts, stains, or signs of wear);
- You must provide your original order number and proof of delivery.
The following items are non-returnable:
- Customized or personalized Products (e.g., Products with embroidered names);
- Final sale items (clearly marked as “Final Sale” on the product page);
- Products that have been used, damaged, or altered by the customer.
4.2 How to Initiate a Return
To start a return:
- Send an email to [email protected] with your order number, the name of the Product(s) you wish to return, and the reason for the return.
- We will review your request and send a return authorization (RA) number and return shipping instructions within 2–3 business days (if your return is eligible).
- Package the Product(s) securely, include the RA number on the package, and ship the Product(s) to the address provided in the return instructions.
You are responsible for the cost of return shipping, unless the return is due to a mistake on our part (e.g., incorrect Product shipped, defective Product). In such cases, we will provide a prepaid shipping label for the return.
4.3 Exchange Policy
We currently do not offer direct exchanges. If you wish to exchange a Product (e.g., for a different size or color), please follow the return process (Section 4.2) to return the unwanted Product for a refund, then place a new order for the desired Product.
5. Refunds
5.1 Refund Processing Timelines
Once we receive and inspect your returned Product(s) (and confirm they meet the return eligibility criteria), we will process your refund within 2–3 business days. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used for the order.
The time it takes for the refund to appear in your account depends on your payment provider:
- Credit/debit cards: 5–10 business days (varies by card issuer);
- PayPal: 3–5 business days;
- Other payment methods: Check with your payment provider for timelines.
5.2 Refund Amount
Your refund will be equal to the total amount you paid for the returned Product(s), including the original shipping cost (if applicable—since we offer free shipping, this typically means the full purchase price). However, we may deduct:
- Return shipping costs (if the return is not due to our mistake);
- Customs fees or duties (if the return was caused by unpaid customs charges);
- Restocking fees (only applicable for non-defective, returned Products that require significant processing—we will notify you of any restocking fee before processing the refund).
5.3 Failed Deliveries and Refunds
If a delivery fails (e.g., due to an incorrect address or the customer being unavailable to receive the package) and the Product is returned to us, we will notify you via email. You may choose to:
